Ms. Zahra Nedjabat

Head Department of International Relations and Diversity at DW

Ms. Zahra Nedjabat is the head of the department International Relations and Diversity at Deutsche Welle (DW).

Zahra Nedjabat took over as Deutsche Welle’s head of international relations and diversity on November 1. In addition to establishing and fostering close relations with partners from the media and political realm, the position’s scope newly includes the company’s diversity management. This aims to promote diversity within DW as well as in representation of DW on platforms for intercultural dialogue.

Zahra Nedjabat studied comparative literature, Islamic studies, philosophy and history in Bonn and Paris. Before joining DW in 2018, she worked as an editor and PR project manager at media.net berlinbrandenburg e.V. and as head of corporate communications and management consultant at TRIAD Berlin Projektgesellschaft mbH. Nedjabat gained journalistic experience at BBC World and RC 93.9 FM Paris. Since 2014 she organizes the Vienna International Christian-Islamic Summer University together with the University of Vienna.
