Ms. Shamsa Abubakar Fadhil is the Organizing Secretary of the Mombasa Women of Faith Network, within the Religions for Peace Interreligious Council of Kenya. She is a Champion and Ambassador of peace, security, and cohesion under the National Cohesion and Integration Commission representing Mombasa county. She was selected as a SHUJAA of Mombasa county and awarded by His Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, the President of Kenya, in November 2020 for advocating for peace, cohesion, and integration at the community level. She is also the District Peace and Security Chairlady of Nyali sub-county under the National Steering Committee, which is directly linked to the national government. She was recognized by the Global Peace Foundation as a Global Peace Champion in January 2021.
