>Ms. Fatima Hallal is a Junior Researcher at Hartford Seminary in Interreligious Relations.Ms. Fatima Hallal is a Junior researcher and graduate student from Lebanon. Following the completion of her B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs at the Lebanese American University, Ms. Hallal was nominated and accepted for the International peace-making programme at Hartford Seminary whereby she studied interfaith dialogue and conflict resolution.Along-side her academic journey and based on her firm belief that youth has pivotal role to play in their communities, Ms. Hallal was actively involved with Lothan Youth Achievement Center and Adyan Youth Network between 2014-and 2017, she was also member of the Youth Advisory Council formed by the public diplomacy department in the U.S. embassy in Beirut. Working on youth policies, civic engagement, diversity and co-existence projects and programmes in Lebanon, Ms. Hallal’s journey led her to be selected to represent youth in multiple international events including the Middle East Partnership Initiative Student Leaders Program in Georgetown University in summer 2016 and a youth delegate for the Mediterranean Youth Network summit in Casablanca in 2017.In 2016, Ms. Hallal received the “Spirit of Service” award from the Outreach and Civic Engagement Unit at her university and in 2017 she won the best capstone project for the political science department for her senior project on “Youth, Civic Society and Radicalization in Lebanon.”
